Distribution

You can distribute field plugins via your personal profile, the partner portal, or the organization.

Note

Admin access to the target space is required before the plugin can be installed. Once a plugin has been installed in a space, your user account may be removed from that space. The plugin will remain available for its users.

Personal field plugins

Follow the steps below to distribute plugins from your personal account.

1. Under My account > My plugins, select the field plugin you want to distribute.
2. Under Settings & Details > Assigned Spaces, choose the spaces that should have access to the plugin.
3. Click Save to store the configuration, then Publish to apply the changes to the selected spaces.

Partner portal or organization

Follow the steps below to distribute plugins via the partner portal or organization.

1. In the partner portal or organization, navigate to Extensions and press New Extension.
2. In the dialog, enter a human-friendly name for the extension, provide an ID (a string of numbers and characters), and choose field as the extension type.
3. In the newly created extension, add the field plugin under Storyblok field-types.
4. Optionally, edit the description and other details under Extension Details for better clarity.
5. Copy the install link and open it in a new tab to install the extension. This will let you select the space where you want to install it. If the extension includes multiple field plugins, all of them will be installed.
